 Job Description: J. Krug is an insurance brokerage & financial advisory firm offering Business Insurance, Employee Benefits, Personal Lines & Financial Services. Our Employee Benefits Division is searching for a Benefits Account Manager to join our Team. As a Benefits Account Manager, you will be responsible for daily benefits administration, assisting with client renewals, and policy installation in Epic. Additionally, this individual will communicate changes in laws to current clients and work with carriers on behalf of those clients.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Enrollment, termination, and modifications of employee benefits
  • Resolve billing issues
  • COBRA notification of terminated employees
  • Build census information
  • Create enrollment software tools
  • Development of open enrollment materials
  • Assist employees with questions or education
  • Attend open enrollment meetings with Director of Benefits
  • Audit final enrollments and reconcile to carrier invoices
  • Compile information for required reporting
  • Respond to billing and eligibility inquiries
  • Create employee benefit booklets
  • Maintain client relationships, support client retention, and understanding client’s needs
  • Manage projects with clients
  • Organize client meetings with other Team members and making sure the client is aware of all resources, products & services that J. Krug offers
  • Assist in the remarketing process, as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be organized
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • An understanding of the benefits industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to act professionally with clients
